April Fools Day in the Miniature Garden

The backdrop was made from a bamboo placemat. We glued stakes on the back to hold it rigid, and to stake it. The trees were painted for more color. That back vase is just that – it’s not planted up – the branches will last for a couple of months before they will need replacing.

I found this miniature bathroom set many years ago at a miniature show. It’s discontinued, but it’s the PERFECT fairy bathroom! Lol!

Customized fairy figure. It’s a Mary Brown fairy that I glued material onto, painted, painted and painted in layers, and remade into my own lil’ fairy.

    Children to wonder over them!

    • Hi Vickie, What a great point. It seems we’re always thinking from the fairy’s point of view, aren’t we? What about the children’s viewpoint? Thank you for the wonderful thought. – Janit

I have always envisioned my Faeries bathing in dew collected in a leaf or in melted snow in some woodland creative’s foot print .
As for the other business. Birds do it in the woods and considering that Faeries are magical creatures who is to say they even have to go, but if they do it has to be good for the flowers and trees.
The only reason my Faeries would have a sink is to was their tiny teacups in. Am I too fanciful? Perhaps but I have thought about this before and came to the conclusion that the do not need a bathroom. Better to use that space for more bookcases.
