The Great Annual Miniature Garden Contest

BEST OF SHOW MINIATURE GARDEN for The Great Annual Miniature Garden Contest. We thought Lori’s garden was a great mix of plants and texture for a part-sun spot. The different tiers – from the deck down to the koi pond – was very cute. And, can you see the mini garden art? Click to enlarge.

The Gardens of The Great Annual Miniature Garden Contest for 2013, Part 1 of 6

We are finally pleased to announce the winner of The Great Annual Miniature Garden Contest for 2013 is fellow Miniature Gardener, Lori B. of Washington! Congratulations, Lori!

It was a very close competition over 7 different categories. People from all over the world joined us this year to make it the biggest-ever! Thank you for all those who participated to make it a smashing success!

Here is the first summary, the winners for the container category. I’ll follow this with a separate blog of all the winning and eligible entries in each category that we received over the last three months. There were over 125 entries but some of them had to be dropped because they didn’t meet the rules of the contest. Unfortunately we had to be sticklers in order to be fair.

RUNNER-UP FOR THE CONTAINER CATEGORY: Leslie B’s container garden entry for The Great Annual Miniature Garden Contest. We were charmed by the use of china for the patio that was reflected by the “pot” on the table – splashes of color in a pretty garden.
